Another epic ski week is upon us, and the storms just keep rolling on in like a runaway freight train.  Yeah, the Powder Express is here!  We’ve been accepting delivery of just about a meter of fresh snow this week  and we’re keeping the station wide open for business.  It’s been deep and delightful; really --- just check out the new picture posted.  There’s no end in sight, and we’re beginning to wonder if we’re stuck in some sort of snowy twilight zone.  Actually, we’re not wondering that hard --- we’re too busy skiing, and if there’s a world beyond our powdery bubble, then we’re not in a hurry to find it!

Come and join us in March for a snowy feast of epic proportions, because believe me, there’s plenty to go around…

This just in:  skiing is good.  Really, really, ridiculously good, in fact, when you pile 89cm of sweet Selkirk powder on the legendary tree lines and pillows that fill our back yard!  Light dry snow, no wind, and cool temps tell the tale of this week —mix that in with long deep lines through the burnt forest of the Front side, epic laps down the untouched trees above Rosie’s, and classic runs like Bo Derek, and you have the recipe for day after day of all-time conditions!  Overhead face shots put the icing on the cake, and when you toss it all together… nothing short of powder perfection!  Let the good times roll…

The weeks snowfall: 45 cm

As we are wrapping up our first week of operation our guests couldn't be happier, between the bottomless pow and the newly renovated lodge we can't seem to wipe the smile off our faces out here!

With nearly a two meter base up on the mountain, and clear sunny days for the rest of the week, it's left lots of time, and even more snow to continue expanding our road system for more untouched skiing!

But why take my word for it?

With day skiing starting January 6th all of us here at Great Northern encourage you to come on out for a day and experience it for yourself!
