Start your day off right
No two meals or breakfasts at Great Northern are alike, but breakfast always starts at 7:00 a.m. sharp. Pick up a coffee, tea or fruit juice on your way to the dining room table. Some combination of homemade oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon and potatoes will fill you up for a big day on the slopes.
Refuel on the mountain
At Great Northern, lunch is served slope side. Admire the jagged peaks, gourmet wrap in hand, or sit in the snowcat, rest your legs and warm up. Hot tea, fruit and veggie snacks, and all sorts of sweet treats will keep you going all afternoon.
Story time snacks
Powder and wipe-out story time at the lodge goes from the time you get back from your last run until dinnertime. When you arrive, some of your favourite after-ski snacks will be waiting for you by the fire: nachos, hot wings, hummus, pita…and whatever else chef Vance whips up.
The dinner bell rings
It really does! Chef Vance rings the dinner bells to summon everyone to the table for a feast. He draws inspiration from around the world and wild places for his gourmet, four-course meals. Expect soup, salad, meat or fish (on alternating nights), veggies and dessert.
There’s nothing sweeter than Selkirk powder, except for maybe dessert at Great Northern Lodge. Chef Vance’s homemade cakes, pies, mousses and ice creams are legendary.
