LODGE CHEF JOB DESCRIPTION
A seasonal position (December – April) is available for a Lodge Chef at our exclusive mountain lodge in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia. The Chef will be responsible for top quality food preparation, cooking and presentation for approximately 20 guests plus kitchen management.
Job Description:
- Prepare and cook full course meals
- Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods
- Plan menus
- Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions
- Work with minimal supervision
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Estimate food requirements and costs
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
Job Requirements
- We are looking for an enthusiastic, hospitality professional with a creative flare for menu planning & presentation. Must be flexible, energetic, friendly and have good customer service skills.
- Position requires prior kitchen experience
- Remote setting requires confidence and innovative ability.
