HEAD HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily room service to guest rooms and cleanliness of lodge interior. Maintains inventory of linen and housekeeping supplies. Assists Chef with meal preparation. Serves meals and assists with kitchen cleanup. Responsible for training, supervision, and evaluation of Housekeeping staff. Assists Lodge Manager with scheduling, department planning and job development.

Coordinates workflow to ensure deadlines are successfully met and a consistently high standard of cleanliness and service is maintained.

Job Duties

•  Supervise and assist daily room services
•  Supervise and assist cleaning of lodge interior
•  Supervise and assist lodge laundry
•  Assist with kitchen cleanup and dishwashing
•  Assist Chef with meal preparation
•  Advise maintenance of any damage or repairs required
•  Maintain inventory of linen and housekeeping supplies
•  Assist with meal service
•  Assist Lodge Manager with housekeeping department scheduling and planning
•  Prepare performance evaluations of housekeeping staff
•  Monitors base radio station as required

Criteria for Evaluation

Evaluated on thoroughness of duties, pleasant and courteous attitude with guests and co-workers. Supervisory and organizational skills. Presentation and professionalism.

Reports to Lodge Manager

•  Presentable and professional

•  Energetic
•  Dependable
•  Previous supervisory experience
•  Previous housekeeping experience
•  Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to effectively work as a team
•  Honesty and integrity
•  Must be physically fit to meet the demands of the job and physically flexible (making bunk beds in
   tight spaces).
