HOUSEKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Housekeeper is responsible for providing daily room service to guest rooms and maintaining cleanliness of lodge interior. Is responsible for washing meal dishes and kitchen cleanup and is responsible for table set-up and service in the dining room. Assists Chef with meal preparation. Ensures a consistently high standard of cleanliness and service is maintained.

Job Duties

• Change guest towels
• Make guest beds
• Change guest bed linen
• Clean guest bathrooms
• Clean staff bathrooms
• Dust and vacuum guest rooms and lodge interior
• Ensure guest rooms are properly supplied with toiletries
• Responsible for lodge laundry
• Advise Head Housekeeper of any maintenance or inventory needs
• Wash meal dishes
• Assist Chef with meal preparation
• Set-up dining room table
• Perform meal service
• Monitors base station radio as required

Criteria for Evaluation

Evaluated on thoroughness of duties, pleasant and courteous attitude with guests and co-workers. Organizational skills. Presentation and professionalism.

Reports to Head Housekeeper

Qualifications

• Presentable and professional
• Positive Attitude
• Energetic
• Dependable
• Previous experience dealing with the public
• Previous housekeeping experience
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to effectively work as a team
• Honesty and integrity
• Must be physically fit to meet the demands of the job and physically flexible (making bunk beds in
tight spaces).

Previous experience is preferred. Will train candidates that demonstrate a willingness to learn and a commitment to quality customer service.
