LODGE SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Lodge Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the lodge to ensure guest expectations are exceeded and a consistently high standard of customer service and cleanliness is maintained. Foster Great Northern's solid customer service philosophy with a focus on guest and employee satisfaction and the development of long-term relationships with clients and staff.
Job Duties
- Provide guest care and attention that exceeds expectations
- Greet and make our guests welcome in the lodge and ensure they are treated in a helpful and courteous manner and provide lodge orientation on arrival.
- Transfer guests to and from lodge as needed
- Assist Chef with meal planning and inventory control
- Perform weekly grocery and supply run
- Dine with and assist with meal service to guests
- Manage gift shop
- Communicate timely with Reservation Office regarding guest bookings and staff schedules
- Ensure staff performs all tasks properly and in a timely manner and to help maintain standards for housekeeping in all areas of the lodge.
- Lead, supervise, train, and develop housekeeping and kitchen staff
- Deal with conflict resolution in a constructive positive manner.
- Discuss any pertinent staff/lodge issues and communicate back to staff if needed.
- Monitor base radio station as required
- Other duties as required
Criteria for Evaluation
Evaluated on thoroughness of lodge duties, pleasant and courteous attitude with guests and co-workers; management and organizational skills that demonstrate an ability to assume responsibility and accountability; presentation and professionalism.

Skills & Qualifications
Supervisory Experience
Previous restaurant and housekeeping experience
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills - Word, Email, Internet
Honesty and integrity
Demonstrated ability to lead by example
Participative management style
Ability to instill a guest service attitude in all employees
Strong customer service orientation and skills
Exceptional detail in follow-up
Presentable and professional
Positive Attitude
Energetic - Must be physically fit to meet the demands of the job and physically flexible (making
bunk beds in tight spaces).
