What a week!

We started it off with a continuation of last week’s sunshine and beautiful blue skies, laying down long sweet lines on the Mountain. With calm conditions and no wind skiing on some hero powder. What it all boils down to is more epic skiing, with a few face shots and lots of fast, fabulous powder skiing back on the menu the last couple of days!

Blue skies and sunshine have been the order of business over the past week. We’ve had bomber great dry powder the last few days!!A weak system forecast for the week carries a chance of new snow, with more sunny days expected for early next week. Views from here to forever, snow under your skis, and the sun or your face ─ it’s all looking good from here…

This just in: skiing is good. Really, really, ridiculously good, in fact, when you pile 960cm of sweet Selkirk powder on the legendary tree lines and pillows that fill our back yard! Overhead face shots put the icing on the cake, and when you toss it all together… nothing short of powder perfection! Let the good times roll…

Another epic ski week is upon us, and the storms just keep rolling on in like a runaway freight train. Yeah, the Powder Express is here!
It’s piling up as fast as we can measure it, and our tracks are disappearing as quickly as we can lay them down. It’s real nice, and only getting nicer, and though we haven’t seen the sun in days, it’s all good ─ up here, face shots beat sun tans any day of the week! Snorkels are at the ready, and we’re going diving, right into a sea of deep powder goodness. And as for the sun, it can stay on the beach, all the way until May ─after all, we won’t see it through all that snow anyway…

It’s back!  That’s right, sweet powder skiing has returned after a brief hiatus.  With fresh snow every day since last Thursday and over the weekend— of the light, dry and delicious variety — we’re laying down sweet fast turns throughout the vast mountain playground that surrounds us, and it’s been getting better every day.  The Great Northern Mountain lived up to its name on Sunday, as we blazed trail through absolute hero snow, down the perfect fall line of many peoples’ favorite run!  Life is good up here — come join us!  We’ll be happy to show you around…
