We understand that during these unprecedented - and uncertain - times, the decisions we’re making on how we travel and spend our leisure time - and with who - has been greatly impacted. As we all continue to adapt to our new normal, here at Great Northern Snowcat Skiing, we know that our guests need to trust our team and the way we do things more than ever before.  

The wellbeing of our guests, lodge team, chefs, and housekeepers, is always our #1 priority, and this coming ski season, this now also includes diligently following operational protocols and new processes to ensure the safety of all. Our team are prepared to upkeep robust cleaning and sanitization procedures throughout the season, going above and beyond the guidelines put forth to us by health officials from the Government of B.C.

As our backcountry lodge – with a total of 18 rooms and guided ski operation is smaller than some other mechanized ski companies, it means we’re only ever hosting small groups, offering room types with private bathrooms in each room.  Our guests self-drive to the lodge for a direct arrival.  Our snowcats will be deep-cleaned and sanitized daily. 

If lodge sharing is ever a concern for our skiers, our boutique approach allows us to easily tailor private trips for large groups of extended family, or close groups of friends.  These private buyouts guarantee exclusive use of the lodge, our guide team, and our snowcats.
